Aberdares National Park is host to some of the best waterfalls in Kenya and it also has the tallest waterfall in Kenya, Karuru Waterfall which has 3 tiers or steps that total to 273m high

Besides Karuru, we’ll also check out the thunderous Chania Falls and the beautiful Magura falls (also known as Queen’s falls)

Queens or Magura Falls

All 3 waterfalls can be visited on foot within a few minutes walk from the parking areas for each waterfall. Approximate total distance to be walked is 2km for all the 3 falls

Please note that this is not a hike but more of scenic visit with some bit of walking. We will be driven from 1 waterfall to the next and the final stretch to each waterfall will involve a short section of walking down to the falls

 

Along with visiting the 3 waterfalls, we might also be able to see wildlife and birds as we drive along the roads inside Aberdares National Park

  • Transport by bus
  • Entry fees as per your status
  • Ranger fees
  • Light snacks and emergency water

Note: EAC citizen are nationals of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, South Sudan, Burundi, Rwanda, Somalia and DRC

This trip is suitable for kids as young as 6 years – please also note that all kids must be accompanied by an adult
