A favourite amongst members is this 2 day and 1 night safari to the home of elephants, Amboseli National Park
The park located near the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro has an abundant elephant population which take refuge in its swamps and wide-open plains in search of water and food, especially during the dry months
The park also has a variety of other wildlife such as lions, cheetahs, foxes, hyenas, wildebeest, hippo, giraffe, impala, gazelles as well as rarely seen kudu, reedbucks and zebra. The birdlife here is amongst the highest in variety in Kenya
We can’t forget to mention that Mount Kilimanjaro looms over the park to the south and on a good clear day the whole mountain can be seen, including the snow capped crater
We will be offering Little Amanya Camp for accommodation which is located 2km from Iremito gate
Little Amanya is full – thus we’re offering AA lodges as per below details
With AA Lodges , the rates will be slightly higher as follows:
- Sharing a room – each person will pay 12900
- A single room would be 14700
These rates will cover:
- Transport and safari by tour van for the 2 days and 1 night from Nairobi and back
- Entry fees for Kenyans/residents
- Half-board stay at AA lodges
- Light snacks on day 1
For the AA lodge option, what is not covered is lunch on Saturday and Sunday. For Saturday we expect you to bring packed lunch while for Sunday we will do a stop at Emali at a good restaurant
We will also be giving out binoculars to use during the safari for better viewing experiences. We have 14 pairs of binoculars that will be shared out amongst attendees – this is at no extra cost and is part of the package
