Located on the slopes of Mount Kenya is a beautiful evergreen forest named after a historical site called Castle Lodge.
The hike starts from the lodge and continues on straight into the forest along well travelled paths and across a couple of small streams.
Eventually we take a branch left and descend down to the magnificent Kamweti Waterfall which is the main aim of the hike. After the waterfall visit, it’s a hike back along the same route back to the lodge
At the lodge just 5 minutes away is another smaller waterfall we can easily visit and relax at
The hike is a moderate 12 km long and has medium change in elevation
Cost covers transport, guide fees, water and light snacks
