Located 2 hours drive from Nairobi is Gatamaiyu Forest, a large region next to Kereita Forest and part of the larger Aberdares Forest Ecosystem
The forest has several rivers and streams that flow and fall down at many waterfalls. Trails are in plenty and this is one of them
The hike starts at Gatamaiyu Forest Station and quickly dives into the forest in pursuit of waterfalls and scenery

The total hike is about 10-11km and is a beginner-moderate hike. You can also swim at one of the waterfalls

The cost of the hike will cover
- Transport by bus from Nairobi CBD and back
- Entry fees for Kenyan Adults – for residents and non residents, the fee will be 250 and 500 Kshs more respectively
- Ranger/guide fees
- Water and light snacks
