Mt. Kipipiri is located close to Aberdares National Park and shares much of the same weather and biospere characteristics
The 3360m high mountain peak offers an excellent challenging hike for all who are interested in moutain hiking. Please take note that the hike is rated difficult
The hike starts close to Geta Forest Station at an altitude of 2600m and slowly rises to the peak. The total trek can be as long as 20km depending on where the starting is and where the finishing point will be
Much of the trail is surrounded by forests and thickets which can give way to rocky outcrops at the top

The cost of the hike will cover
- Transport by bus from Nairobi CBD and back
- Entry fees for Kenyan Adults – for residents and non residents, the fee will be 250 and 500 Kshs more respectively
- Ranger/guide fees
- Water and light snacks
This hike is suitable for kids as young as 14 years – please also note that all kids must be accompanied by an adult
