Nthenge Njeru Waterfall in Embu County is a beginner moderate 7-8 km hike that takes you east to discover the triple waterfalls that originate from the slopes of Mt. Kenya. Along the way, Kirimiri Forest forms a stunning backdrop, visible from the Embu-Meru highway. The sight of cascading white waters flowing through lush greenery is both captivating and inviting.

The trail offers a mix of scenic beauty and adventure, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced hikers. From tranquil forest paths to steep descents leading to breath-taking waterfalls, the experience is both thrilling and refreshing. The highlight of the hike is reaching the White Rock viewpoint, where panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes provide the perfect reward for the climb.

 

The cost of the hike will cover

  • Transport by bus from Nairobi CBD and back
  • Entry fees for Kenyan Adults – for residents and non residents, the fee will 250 and 500 Kshs more respectively
  • Ranger fees
  • Water and light snacks

This hike is suitable for kids as young as 10 years – please also note that all kids must be accompanied by an adult
