One of the few wildlife conservancies in Kenya that can offer you a chance to exit the vehicle for short walks and exploration. The conservancy located at Lake Elementaita is teeming with many types of wildlife from the zebras and giraffe to jackals and hyenas. Birdlife is abundant here especially at the lake shore
Besides the lake, the scenery also includes the nearby hills such as Sleeping Warrior in the distance and even some diatomite mines
Proposed Itinerary:
- Meet up at 5:45am and departure from Nairobi CBD at 6am
- Have one washroom break along the way
- Expect to arrive at Soysambu by 9:30am, go through entry process
- Drive to the Lake Elementaita viewpoint where we can see most of the lake from a high vantage point
- We then proceed to the lake shore and have a walk along the shoreline as we marvel at all the bird life there
- Drive on to the forests and have a short walk in places
- Arrive at a picnic site where we can have our lunch as we admire the views
- Continue the drive after lunch to visit the diatomite caves – we’ll enter the caves and explore
- Finally drive out and return to Nairobi before 10pm





Cost of this tour will cover
- Transport by bus from Nairobi and back
- Entry fees for Kenyan/resident adults – non residents would pay 50 USD more as per their entry fees
- Guided tour of the conservancy
- Emergency water and light snacks.
We will also be giving out binoculars to use during the safari for better viewing experiences. We have 25 pairs of binoculars that will be shared out amongst attendees – this is at no extra cost and is part of the package
This event is suitable for kids as young as 5 years – please also note that all kids must be accompanied by an adult
