Namanga Hills are located near the town after which the hills are named, close to the Kenya – Tanzania border. The drive to the hills from Nairobi is a smooth easy affair and will probably take about 3-3.5 hours. The scenery is spectacular along the way from far off hills to rolling plains and gorges here and there. The starting point of the hike is near the Kenyan-Tanzanian border
This hike will go all the way to the peak and the full hike may take 8-9 hours to complete and is approximately 22km long. For now we are classifying this as a tough hike on the same level as Mt. Kipipiri. Elevation change is expected to be from 1550m ASL to 2584m ASL – a 1000m elevation change
