Who we are
Our History
Matembezi Travelers Club was founded in March 2018 after two passionate nature photographers took their friends and work colleagues to Ngare Ndare Forest for a day hike. The club has been active ever since and has grown from an initial number of 24 to over 1000 members
The two founding members are Chintan Gohel and Zainab Adam, both who enjoy photographing nature in all her forms.
As of Jan 2022 Zainab had to leave the club to pursue her career and we searched for new teammates to help with running the club
Now we have a team of 2 with Joanna Neema joining and contributing to the research, social media and creative sides of our travel club

The Club
The club is open to all and we have organised different kinds of trips to more than 25 unique destinations with locations as far as Samburu in the North and Amboseli in the South. Our destinations have also varied in type from day hikes to day safaris to overnight safaris and even adventure thrills, scenic visits and easy nature walks.
The theme of the club has solidified to be mainly about experiencing nature in all her glory, whether it is experiencing being close to wildlife to marvelling at the flight of birds to walking through rain forests and across valleys and more.
