Located a few minutes from Embu is Irangi Forest that offers this captivating and moderate 20km forest trek with 1 major waterfall 3/4 of the way in
The hike starts from Irangi gate, passes through dense forest vegetation with towering canopies, slowly rises and falls and rises once more before getting down to Rua Nyoni Falls
The 2nd half of this trail is basically the Rua Nyoni falls trek that we are also offering as a separate hike. The Irangi trail is however much longer and offers you more time to spend in the forest

The cost of the hike will cover
- Transport by bus from Nairobi CBD and back
- Entry fees for Kenyan Adults – for residents and non residents, the fee will 250 and 500 Kshs more respectively
- Ranger fees
- Water and light snacks
This hike is suitable for kids as young as 12 years – please also note that all kids must be accompanied by an adult
