At 3600m, this magnificent hill juts out prominently from the Aberdares Ranges and provides hikers with incredible sights and scenery

Elephant hills is located 90km from Nairobi and the hike itself covers a total distance of 20km with an elevation change of over 1070m. In our books, this is definitely a tough hike, worthy only for the hikers built with stamina and determination.

From forest trails to bamboo thickets to rocky moorlands – this trail traverses quite a lot of scenery

If any beginner hiker is reading this, please come back after you’ve done several moderate to difficult hikes such as Longonot, Namanga and Ole Satima

The cost of the hike will cover
- Transport by bus from Nairobi CBD and back
- Entry fees for Kenyans, residents need to top up with 550 Kshs while Non residents need to top up with 77 USD
- Ranger fees
- Emergency Water and light snacks
- Hiking badge
The hike is not recommended for kids except for teenagers already doing moderate hikes
