Located near Salama is a set of incredible rock formations left behind by the eroding power of water and wind. Kenze gorges forms a vast network of eroded boulders and river beds strewn across the sides of the hill starting from Mukaa town. The hike is rated moderate and covers 11-12km with warm temperatures and rocky terrain forming a good portion of the trail

Our hike begins from Mukaa and crosses over rolling hills where we stroll across the tops before descending down the paths of seasonal rivers to experience first hand the rocky beauty that is Kenze Gorges

Photos cannot do justice to the incredible beauty of this terrain – you have to be there to properly appreciate the wonders of erosion and land sculpting that has taken place here

At 11-12 km and 300m of elevation change, this moderate hike is for scenery lovers and those looking to move up from beginner trails

The cost of the hike will cover
- Transport by bus from Nairobi CBD and back
- Entry fees for Kenyan Adults – for residents and non residents, the fee will 250 and 500 Kshs more respectively
- Guide fees
- Water and light snacks
This hike is suitable for kids as young as 9 years – please also note that all kids must be accompanied by an adult
