A 16km beginner moderate trail on the slopes of Mt. Kenya close to Nanyuki
Mau-Mau Cave situated in Kenya, is a blend of stunning geology and rich historical significance, perfect for adventure seekers and history enthusiasts alike
The cave is inside the Burguret River and has a beautiful waterfall adjacent. The trail starting point is just before Trout Tree restaurant and takes 4 – 6 hrs depending on one’s pace. The trail is generally flat, has a gentle slope and a down and up towards the waterfall.
The cost of the hike will cover
- Transport by bus from Nairobi CBD and back
- Entry fees for Kenyan Adults – for residents and non residents, the fee will be 250 and 500 Kshs more respectively
- Ranger/guide fees
- Water and light snacks

This hike is suitable for kids as young as 12 years – please also note that all kids must be accompanied by an adult
