This an easy 9km hike starting a few km from Gatundu town and ending in the town itself. It involves trekking down to Thiririka river, visiting the artificial waterfall (No 1) followed by the first proper waterfall (No 2) where we can relax and even swim in

After the waterfall, we’ll continue walking along the river downstream for a few km before going back up again. The second section of the hike involves crossing the river over the water pipe network and ending with the Thiririka falls (No 3) where again swimming is possible though the pool is smaller and more public

The hike is quite pleasant though can be slippery in places near the river. Views are of the waterfalls and the river as we trek next to it.
The cost of the hike covers
- Transport by bus from Nairobi CBD and back
- Guide fees and community fees
- Emergency water and light snacks
