Located along the border of Castle Forest lies Kiringa river, one of many rivers that flow down Mt. Kenya. The highland areas produces several waterfalls along the river and for this hike, we expect to see 3 of them

Starting off at the gate of Castle Forest station, the hike follows the fence line for 3km before plunging down to the river and then following it to see all 3 waterfalls. The last waterfall would Kimunye falls


Total hiking distance would be about 14-15km though it may go for longer depending on the route chosen, thus we are categorising this hike as moderate
The cost of the hike will cover
- Transport by bus from Nairobi CBD and back
- Entry fees for Kenyan Adults – for residents and non residents, the fee will 250 and 500 Kshs more respectively
- Ranger fees
- Light snacks and emergency water
