For those hikers always looking for a high altitude challenge, Aberdares offers several trails along it’s Western range. Kanyundo Maratini is the latest of those challenging hikes. It’s 22km long and with a starting altitude at 2870m and peak altitude at 3820m
The hike starts in the same region of Mikeu where other hikes like 7 ponds, Rurimeria and Table Mountain also start from
The scenic views of Aberdares, Mt. Kipipiri, moorland vegetation and chances of seeing wildlife are all part of the attraction



The cost of the hike will cover
- Transport by bus from Nairobi CBD and back
- Entry fees; residents will top up with 300 Kshs while non residents top up with 75 USD
- Guide fees
- Emergency Water and light snacks
- Hike summit badge

This hike is suitable for kids as young as of 14 years with prior moderate and difficult hike experience– please also note that all kids must be accompanied by an adult
